  NOTE :  To build this ramp, its vital that you have good knowledge of construction and are somewhat of a craftsman. Even though wood is easier (in my opinion) to work with than metal,  if you aren't good at building things, or don't think you can handle this project, don't do it. Its just gonna waste your time and money, and its going to be a less-than-desirable ramp, (possibly dangerous, too) so I advise you to get some experienced help.

  NOTE: In the freestyle ramp plans, we often refer to the boards used to make the ramp "2x4's" or "2x6's". These references are the industry names for the boards, not the actual size. The most common size of a "2x4" is 1.5 by 3.5 inches, and the most common size of a "2x6" is 1.5 by 5.5 inches.
 So take note that some measurements may seem off when they actually are designed to accomodate the 1.5 inch by 3.5inch size of the boards.

STEP 1 Building the Base frame
         materials:   two 16 ' x 2" x 6" boards, nine 45" x 2" x 6" boards, at least fifty screws, a screw gun, and a large carpenters square. 

STEP 2 Cutting the tops of the vertical spars.
  materials: pencil, skil saw, various sized 2x4s(ranging from 8' long to 8" long)  for the vertical spars

STEP 3 Adding the vertical Spars
materials:, large level, carpenters square, fifty more screws.

STEP 4 Adding the first nine crossmembers.
        materials: forty more screws, nine 42"  2x4s.

STEP 5 Adding the 'side pieces, and eight more crossmembers
 materials: one hundred thirty or more screws, sixteen 2x4s approximately 2'6" long, and eight 45" 2x4s

STEP 6  Brace the ramp.
 materials: assorted 2x4s, and more screws.

STEP 7  Plywood surfacing.
          materials: two 4x8' and one 4x4' sheets of 3/4" plywood, one hundred or more 2" drywall screws, caulking gun, liquid nails, c-claps.

STEP 8   Creating the tail section.
        materials: assorted 2x4s, one 4x8' sheet of 3/4" plywood, more screws..

STEP 9 - Painting the ramp.
    materials: Paint brushes, rollers, one gallon of non-slip grit paint, and one to two gallons of oil based primer
